VIVA is Back!
YOJI BIOMEHANIKA is a legend who is still active on the world stage in 2025 at EDC Las Vegas, Dance Valley in the Netherlands, and other major venues around the world.
In the late 90’s to early 2000’s, he created a huge movement in the domestic scene with his party event “VIVA”!
It was a time when techno and house were the mainstream of the scene.
With his unique look and outfit, he suddenly appeared like a meteor and quickly gained popularity with his “NU-NRG,” an intense and emotional dance music with a BPM of over 150, which shook the scene.
VIVA’s base venue, Shinjuku LIQUID ROOM (sometimes Ebisu Garden Hall), was always filled to overflowing with crowds. The so-called “honeycakes” who were influenced by VIVA’s fashion also proliferated, creating a social phenomenon involving ‘fashion’ and “culture.
YOJI BIOMEHANIKA has been active for more than a quarter of a century.
The source of his energy must be VIVA. He now returns to it.
And in this VIVA “NU-NRG REUNION,” his British ally “LAB4,” which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, will appear! The UK hard energy band, which once debuted on the avex label in Japan, is coming to Japan for the first time in 11 years. The band will perform a Classics Set that is sure to be coveted by their fans!
